Awesome Tools CC
Awesome Tools, formerly known as Tremac Industries, is a successful growing business situated in Durbanville, Cape Town. Being the master distributors of Leatherman and other major brands in South Africa makes Awesome Tools even more awesome and unique. Bruce Trethewey believes in obtaining the sole right to a product. The staff has grown to a "family" of 21 office staff, and 6 sales Reps
Bruce and Barbara Trethewey started their self-employment career in 1979 with the formation of Tremac Industries Ltd. and the building of Vernon Mini Storage. The development was expanded in 1980 to 30000 sq. ft and has had ancillary businesses attached to it, the principal being Tremac Trophies and Sports which retailed racket sport equipment, stringing equipment and school sports supplies
They moved to South Africa in 1989, started and developed the first B&B/Guest cottages in Durbanville (now there are over 200). They discovered Leatherman after sailing Cape Town to Florida in '91 and started importing in '92, becoming the sole master distributor for Sub Saharan Africa in '93. As the import business expanded they sold off the accommodation business to allow the time to handle increased demand
Bruce comes from a very influential family of born entrepreneurs over five generations who originally made their name in the lumber industry. That being said, it is not unusual that Bruce is ambitious and energetic - two characteristics walking hand in hand with family workaholic traits
Promoting Leatherman and using it himself, this lifesaver is a hardworking multi-purpose tool in any tight spot.
Believing that not only that you can reach further, but by spreading your wings, Bruce and Barbara are also proud owners of a mini-storage business in Canada. This "technonut" is always demanding mutual benefit and is passionate about success alongside his retailers
Being a qualified helicopter pilot, he has travelled locally and abroad to empower himself, his business and employees. Words such as eccentric and extreme may be used when talking about Bruce, but dull will be something completely absent. His wife, Barbara, has an eye for success and has been his backbone and confidante, herself possessing 5 university degrees and diplomas and speaking many languages and bluffing in more.
Customer service and good quality products are top priority. The guarantee on their product range is their stamp of approval giving peace of mind to the customer.
The company goal is "SUCCESS ALONGSIDE OUR RETAILERS" and our Motto is: "Go ahead or go home
It seems to work.
